Lessons have been assigned to them based on their diagnostic test results both in Math and Reading. Within each lesson are brain break games. The district is pushing a goal of 45 minutes per week on Online Lessons in ELA and 45 minutes per week in Math to close the gaps found in the diagnostic. Math and ELA are providing some of that time during the week, but not all.
WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: TinkerCAD, an easy-to-use 3D CAD design tool !
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: Gives the user the ability to take something that's 3D and represent it in 2D. It is essential to all industries that use 3D modeling like architects, engineers and game designers!
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: You will complete starter lessons on TinkerCAD and soon answer questions based on what you completed!

Add a CYLINDER, BOX and CONE to your workplane
CYLINDER...
Make the CYLINDER 70 mm in length
Use your dimensions to change it...
Click and PULL the TOP WHITE handle
Type 70 in the box
Press Enter on your keyboard

Make the CYLINDER'S diameter 10 mm
Use your dimensions to change it...
Click the bottom RIGHT WHITE handle
Type 10 in BOTH boxes
Press Enter on your keyboard
CYLINDER...
ROTATE the CYLINDER 90°
Use your dimensions to change it...
Click the rounded two sided arrow
Type 90 in the box
Press Enter on your keyboard
RED BOX...
50 mm Wide x 50 mm Length...

Click the bottom RIGHT WHITE handle
Type 50 in each box

40 mm Height...
Use your dimensions to change it...
Click the top WHITE handle
Type 40 in the box

Hole Cylinder...
Hole in RED BOX
Put a HOLE Cylinder on the workplane
Change the Height to 50mm by pulling the top WHITE handle and enter 50 in the box
MOVE the HOLE CYLINER to the center of the RED BOX
Select the Red Box AND the Hole Cylinder (by holding the shift key)
Group them (Click the GROUP ICON)
CONE...
Raise the CONE 40mm above the workplane
Use your dimensions to change it...
Click and pull the black triangle above the CONE
Type 40 in the box
Press Enter on your keyboard
WAIT!
Add your name to the workplane!
Click on the TEXT tool on the right and drag over onto the workplane
Press the HOME (house) VIEW BUTTON to set the workplane so your teacher can see the entire workplane!
YOUR NAME MUST BE ON THE WORKPLANE TO GET CREDIT!!!
GETTING CREDIT!

ONCE COMPLETED!
Click the HOME BUTTON to view your entire workplane
Click SEND TO (on the TOP RIGHT!)
Click the DOWNLOAD BUTTON!
This will download your Workplane file (it will be named dimensions.png) and all created upon it to your DOWNLOADS folder!
Go to our Classroom in TEAMS
Select Assignments
Select
TinkerCAD: Dimensions!
Scroll down to MY WORK
Click +ATTACH
Click UPLOAD FROM THIS DEVICE
Select DOWNLOADS (on the left)
Find the downloaded file and select it (it should be called dimensions.png)
Click OPEN
Wait for file to upload
File will show up below under My Work
CLICK TURN IN!
NOTE: There MUST be a file (download of project) attached to get credit. Simply clicking TURN IN will not do!!!
Make sure you COMPLETE the LESSON and attach file to assignment TEAMS to get CREDIT!
