Lessons have been assigned to them based on their diagnostic test results both in Math and Reading. Within each lesson are brain break games. The district is pushing a goal of 45 minutes per week on Online Lessons in ELA and 45 minutes per week in Math to close the gaps found in the diagnostic. Math and ELA are providing some of that time during the week, but not all.
WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Digital Citizenship: Social Media
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: Students hear what other teens have to say about using social media to connect with friends, consider the complications and distractions that can happen, and think critically about how social media affects their own relationships.
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: You will answer questions and discuss what we saw in the video.
What is a OVERSHARING?
Sharing personal feelings, information, or experiences that later make the sharer feel uncomfortable or regretful
Examples of oversharing include things like:
Sharing thoughts or feelings in the heat of the moment
Sharing things you wouldn't want everyone to see, such as photos from a party, or of you acting silly or weird, but then it was shared with a bigger group of people
Sharing every detail of your life, like what you ate for breakfast or every thought that comes to mind
What is a RED FLAG feeling?
When something happens on digital media that makes you feel uncomfortable, worried, sad, anxious or even jealous.
